Teaching Opportunities




At Middlesex Community College, the Community Education and Training divsion offers noncredit courses and short-term, highly focused programs in selected fields to meet the needs and interests of learners no matter what age, or stage of life, or career. MCC offers online and classroom instruction at our Bedford and Lowell campuses. Programs include professional development, career training and personal enrichment courses, youth programs in the form of summer camps, and after school tutoring program, and the Middlesex Institute for Lifelong Education for Seniors (MILES).

Authoring Tools and Technology Instructor:
Instructor:  Part-Time Instructor for course title: Tools and Technologies for Technical Writers.

This position is a 60-hour teaching position during our spring semester (January through May) in our non-credit Technical Writing Certificate Program. One evening per week. Bedford, MA campus.  Program Details:  https://www.middlesex.mass.edu/careertraining/techwrite.aspx

The successful candidate is a creative and knowledgeable individual who is capable of teaching authoring tools and technologies in the technical writing industry to a diverse student body. Candidates should have worked/are currently professionally in the Technical Writing field.  Required experience with:  Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp or MadCapFlare, and HTML/CSS and XML. Bachelor's degree required. DITA and prior teaching experience preferred.
