The Academic & Transfer Advising office is committed to assisting students with their academic planning needs. To protect the well-being of the entire campus community we have transitioned to the following remote services.

Computer Icon  Blackboard Collaborate:

Current students may connect with Advisors via Blackboard Collaborate. Collaborate, allows for full teleconference capabilities including, chat, voice, video, and screen share. Advising sessions will start in a group environment, and utilizing private breakout rooms for personal questions regarding academic planning and registration.

Virtual / Teleconference Advising Schedule

Please note the following for virtual / teleconference advising:

  • Students will be prompted to log into MyMCC to access our Blackboard site.
  • Students must utilize the microphone on their device. Video is optional.
    • (smartphone /laptop / computer)
  • Students calling into Blackboard Collaborate will not have the option for one-on-one advising.
  • Consider downloading the Blackboard Student or Blackboard Collaborate app for your smartphone.

Current students may leave a voicemail with our department. Messages received will be assigned to a member of our team. Please speak clearly, leaving your name, A#, and question(s) in your message. We will respond to your questions on your MCC Email.

Current & Returning Students:
Before meeting with your assigned advisor, be sure to review your Academic Map, DegreeWorks Audit, and other important information regarding the registration process. Links to Student Advising Resources are available at the bottom of the page.

Contact Assigned Advisor:
All students seeking advising services should be prompted to directly contact their assigned advisor. Student can access assigned advisor information by logging into MyMCC. 

Prospective & New Students:
Before meeting with an academic advisor, be sure to meet with an admissions counselor and/or apply to the college to complete the registration process. Visit our admissions website for more information.
