Your MCC Orientation experience starts here:

1. Complete Your Online Orientation

Button that links to online orientation. It says "Start your orientation"MCC's online orientation* can be completed at your own pace from wherever you are.

After completing the online orientation, you will:

  • know more about academic expectations
  • learn how to navigate the campus
  • find out about getting involved on campus
  • feel confident about finding academic resources and student support

* Required for all new students enrolled in at least 6 credits and taking at least one day course.


2. Attend your First-Year Experience Course

Image: "Smart Start Session First-Year Experience IDS 101" These 2-day accelerated FYE courses are will be offered on campus/in person and online in a virtual classroom setting. 

Students who attend an FYE course will:

  • be introduced to essential student success skills
  • learn about MCC's academic success and student support resources
  • work with advisors to create a personalized academic and financial plan
  • meet other students and learn how to get involved in co-curricular activities

3. Join us for "One Week to Go" Events

New students are invited to our One Week to Go events this summer! One Week to Go introduces you to MCC and is a chance to connect with offices on campus and with other students. Stop by Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Bookstore, and more to make sure you're ready for the start of the semester.


 4. Come to Welcome Month Events

Your first month of college is filled with ways to connect with friends, join clubs and organizations on campus, and learn about all the resources to help you succeed at MCC!
