COVID-19 Response


Dear MCC students,
Thank you for taking time to visit our Career Development webpage.
In response to COVID-19, Career Development is preparing to offer remote services to students. 

The following options will be available to access Career Services at the college. 


Contact Career Development Offices:

  • Current students, utilizing their MCC Email account, may leave a message with the Office of Career Development at  The message will be assigned to a member of staff who will respond to their question(s) via email. We will be temporarily scheduling all appointments virtually.

 computer Blackboard Collaborate:

  • Current students and alumni can connect with Career Counselors via Blackboard Collaborate. Collaborate, allows for chat, voice, video, and screen share.  If Collaborate is a student’s or alum’s preferred method of communication, a member of the career services team will send a link via email prior to the scheduled appointment.
    • Students should be logged into MyMCC and utilize camera and microphone on their device.


 Remote Career Development Resources

  • Focus2-is a web based major and career exploration tool that can be used in different ways throughout all stages of your education and career planning.
  • Career Coach-is a search tool that gives you the opportunity to explore hundreds of potential careers at your fingertips by showing you info on wages, employment, and jobs, plus the education needed to get you there.
  • Employer Resources-If you wish to post an opportunity, please email 
    Catherine Cosgrove, Include position title, type (internship, full-time, part-time) and how to apply
  • CareerShift- resource to search for company contacts, jobs and additional job search tools.
  • Micro-Internships - Micro-internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns. They are highly-specific, project-based positions that typically consist of 20 to 40 hours of work and can occur year-round. Students that participate in micro-internships are paid a fixed rate (at least $12/hour), can complete work remotely and are given a timeline to complete their projects; typically over a two to four week time period.
