Smart Start FYE Courses

The First-Year Experience (FYE) seminar is a one-credit course that can be linked with a three-credit, introductory college-level course to form a first-year experience learning community.
In this course Students will:
- learn essential student success skills, behaviors and habits of mind
- generate a personalized academic plan for their time at MCC and beyond.
- be introduced to MCC’s Institutional Student Learning Outcomes (ISLOs)
- engage with the college’s academic, student support services
- learn how to get involved in co-curricular activities
