Veteran Advising

Welcome to our Veteran Advising page! Middlesex Community College is committed to assisting military students, and their families, utilize available federal and state educational benefits. Whether you're pursuing a certificate or associate degree program, members of our advising team will provide assistance in achieving your academic goal.

Our office works closely with the Veteran Resource Center at the college. We encourage all Veteran student, Military students, and their families to visit the VRC for additional resources and services.

Veteran Certification Process

The Office of Academic and Transfer Advising is your home for developing your academic plan, completing your degree, and to properly utilize veteran or military education benefits. To ensure the accuracy of the certification process, students will have to complete the New or Returning student process below.

New Students

New students to the college seeking to use veteran or military education benefits will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the Application and Registration process at the college.
  2. Upload a PDF copy of your DD214.
  3. Upload a PDF print-out of your Certificate of Eligibility/Summary of Education Benefits.
  4. Complete the Certification Request Form.
    • To ensure accuracy, a registration hold will be placed on your account shortly after completing this form.
    • To make changes to your schedule after this point, please contact a School Certifying Official. Contact information for SCOs can be found at https://www.middlesex.mass.edu/VeteransResources/app.aspx.

Returning Students

Returning students who have used veteran or military education benefits before at Middlesex Community College will need to complete the following steps each semester:

  1. Upload a PDF print-out of your Certificate of Eligibility/Summary of Education Benefits.
  2. Complete the Certification Request Form.
    • To ensure accuracy, a registration hold will be placed on your account shortly after completing this form.
