Deutsche Gesprächsgruppe
Sprechen Sie Deutsch aber haben wenig Gelegenheit es zu benutzen? Vielleicht ist
unsere wochentliche Gesprachsgruppe dann genau das Richtige fur Sie. Bei einer
Tasse Tee und lassiger Atmospare werden wir aktuelle Themen diskutieren, sowie
einige Zeitungs-und Zeitschriftenartikel und Kurzgeschichten lessen. Lese-und
Diskussionsmaterialien werden vom Interesse der Gruppe bestimmt und oft von
den Teilnehmern beigetragen. Obwohl der Schwerpunkt der Klasse auf Erweiterung
der Gesprachsfahigkeiten liegt, werden wir Gelegenheiten nutzen um die deutsche
Grammatik zu besprechen und Kenntnisse darin zu erweitern. Die Lehrerin ist

Words From Greek: Greek Vocab
Greek words and word roots permeate the English language and have rich sources
of meaning derived from ancient Greek mythology, literature, drama, history,
religion and philosophy. Each week you will learn about twenty new English words
originating from Greek sources such as Homer, Aristotle, Aeschylus and the Greek
historians. Special attention will be paid to the vocabulary of myth and Greek
tragedy - words such as hubris, nemesis and arete, which are especially meaningful
today. Not only will you enjoy increasing your vocabulary, you will also deepen your

Edgar Degas (1834 - 1917) was a French artist famous for his paintings,
sculptures, prints, and drawings. This seminar presents an overview of the
artist's life and works. He is especially identified with the subject of dance;
more than half of his works depict dancers. He is regarded as one of the
founders of Impressionism, although he rejected the term, preferring to be
called a realist. His portraits are notable for their psychological complexity
