Study Abroad Opportunities

UMass Lowell’s Honors Program would like to invite MCC Commonwealth Honors students to apply for Study Abroad Programs this Spring and Summer 2024 in San Sebastian, Spain, Belfast, Ireland or Paris, France. Please access UML Honors Study Abroad for information about the programs.

  • San Sebastian: 21 Day Cultural Immerson Program, with two sessions running in Summer 2024. Please access the budget info to learn more about the costs to participate. Students will earn 3 honors transfer credits toward fulfilling Commonwealth Honors Program requirements. To learn more about the program and application process, please fill out the interest form. *Use your MCC or personal email to complete the form.
  • Belfast: Summer session with travel June 17-30, 2024. Please access the budget info to learn more about the costs to participate. Students will earn 3 honors transfer credits toward fulfilling Commonwealth Honors Program requirements. To learn more about the program and application process, please fill out the interest form.  
  • Paris: Summer sessions with travel May 13-25 or May 27-June 8, 2024. Please access the budget info to learn more about the costs to participate. Students will earn 3 honors transfer credits toward fulfilling Commonwealth Honors Program requirements. To learn more about the program and application process, please fill out the interest form.

Scholarship Opportunities: 

  • Benjamin A Gilman Scholarship : The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.
  • Fund for Education Abroad: Aims to fund students that are typically underrepresented in study abroad, including community college students.

MCC’s Grants Office has offered to provide support for students who are interested in applying for study abroad scholarships. Please review the scholarships listed above to determine 1-2 that may work for you.
