Financing Your Education - Workshops for 2019-2020

Please note, to be considered for Financial Aid for SPRING and SUMMER 2019 the 2018-2019 FAFSA is required. The 2018-2019 FAFSA is for fall, spring, and summer terms.

MAY 1, 2019 is the MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENT FAFSA (RECOMMENDED) DEADLINE
May 1st is the deadline to complete the 19-20 FAFSA if you would like to be considered to receive Mass State Grant funding. Please complete your 19-20 FAFSA at FAFSA.gov before this date. If you have already completed your 19-20 FAFSA you will automatically be considered for this grant funding.

HOW TO GET HELP WITH YOUR FAFSA:
Our staff can help you begin or complete the application process during our office hours - Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. We have computers available in the Financial Aid Office for student use.  No appointment is necessary, and you can walk in to our Bedford or Lowell location at any time during business hours, but plan to arrive no later than 4 p.m. Please bring documents that may be necessary to complete your FAFSA - please click here for a checklist.

FSA-ID:
You will need to obtain your Federal FSA-ID and one for your parents as well (if you under under age 24). You can go to the federal FSA-ID site. To apply for one or request a duplicate, or if you have misplaced it, go to this link: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid. Be sure you know your social security number, as this will be required to complete your FAFSA. an See below*

FAFSA WEDNESDAY WORKSHOPS:
You can reserve a seat to work with Financial Aid Staff to complete your 2019-2020 FAFSA - at one of the upcoming workshops in either the Bedford or Lowell location. To reserve a space in Bedford call 781-280-3650. To reserve a space in Lowell call 978-656-3242.  Please report to the Financial Aid office on the campus of your choice prior to the start time of the workshop.

The FAFSA workshop schedule for Spring 2019:

March 27 @ 3:00 p.m. Lowell and Bedford campuses 

April 3 @ 3:00 p.m. Lowell Campus only

April 10 @ 3:00 p.m. Bedford and Lowell Campuses

April 17 @ 3:00 p.m. Bedford & Lowell Campuses

April 24 @ 3:00 p.m. Bedford & Lowell Campuses 

*Documentation and Requirements for FAFSA application:

  • 2017 U.S. income tax return—IRS Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ.
  • W-2 Forms and other records of money earned in 2017.
  • Records of 2017 un-taxed income such as Social Security Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, or Welfare.
  • If you are under 24 years of age (born before January 1, 1996), the same documentation is required for your parents. There are other reasons you may not need your parents information, such as being married, support dependents or a veteran of the armed forces.
