The following resources include both local and national resources. If you have any questions about accessing these resources or are not sure where to begin, reach out to the Wellness Resource Team to schedule a conversation.

Urgent Mental Health Support 

For urgent mental health matters where there is no risk of harm, the following resources are available:

  • Massachusetts Mental Health Helpline:
    • 1-833-773-2445
    • If you are in need of mental health difficulties and looking for a local resources to access in-person services, utilize the Massachusetts Mental Health Helpline. They will provide support in the moment and can connect you with the Community-Based Health Center (CBHC) assigned to your town. From there you will be connected to the level of support most suitable to your needs. The CBHC for Bedford and surrounding towns is Advocates, and the CBHC for Lowell and surrounding towns is Vinfen. 
Support for Victims of Sexual Violence
Local Resources 
Across the state, there are organizations providing local support to victims of sexual violence. They usually provide support through a hotline, brief mental health counseling, group support and legal support. Here are the centers for towns in our area:

Local Resources 
    • Alternative House: Offers shelter, emergency hotline, legal advocacy, medical and social service referrals for women who have been abused or are in the abusive relationship.
    • Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence
      • ATASK is a safe, confidential, and private organization you can call even if you or your family have no immigration papers or documents. You do not have to speak English to call.
