MCC Food Pantry Information

MCC has two Food Pantries, which are free for MCC students and employees. They are located in the Lowell Cowan Center, Room 213 and in the Bedford Campus Center, Room 200.

Both pantries have a variety of food and personal care items, including peanut butter, canned fruits & vegetables, canned tuna & chicken, pasta, rice, beans, shelf stable milk, condiments, cereal, frozen and refrigerated items, soap, menstrual products, toothpaste/toothbrushes, paper goods, and more.

Both Food Pantries are typically open Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm. If the room is locked, Public Safety can let you in between 8am-8pm, 7 days a week when you call 781-589-0234 in Bedford or 781-589-1384 in Lowell.

When using the food pantries, please be thoughtful about only taking what you need. You can bring a reusable bag with you if you’d like, but there are usually some available in the pantry to use if needed.

For more information about anything related to the MCC Food Pantries, email FoodPantry@middlesex.mass.edu.

Food or personal care items may be donated on campus in any of the conveniently located drop off bins (Lowell  Library and Cowan Center Lobby; Bedford Library, Campus Center and Cataldo Building).

Volunteer Opportunities
We are grateful for the involvement of student and employee volunteers at the food pantries! Volunteers are critical for helping keep the pantries organized, stocking shelves, greeting visitors, answering questions, completing intake forms, and reporting any issues. Hours are flexible, but volunteers are most needed between 8am-4pm on weekdays, ideally for a 2-hour shift if possible.

For any questions about volunteering, please contact us at crockettj@middlesex.mass.edu. Thanks for considering!
