In ACE Camp: Aviation and Simulation you will explore many of the possible aviation careers and meet experts from those fields. Learn the fundamentals of flight by designing, building, and testing your own model aircraft and rockets. On field trips, you will witness airport operations first-hand and learn more about what it takes to have "the right stuff." In the second half of the camp, you will learn the tactics needed to succeed in a flight simulator. You will also learn advanced simulation techniques and basic flight maneuvers that will allow you to fly various challenges in advanced flight simulators. We'll investigate how animals benefit our society, how to care for large and small animals as well as animal rights. YTH 618 30 about photo composition, lighting, editing and digital photography software. Some picture-taking experience is helpful, but not necessary. There will be photo assignments, a field trip and time spent in the computer lab enhancing your images. If so, then this camp is for you! This camp will explore express your individual creativity. At the start of camp, the basics of sewing will be taught - how to fasten a button, how to use a sewing machine, how to embellish jeans and more. Some items will be restructured clothing, and some will be created from scratch. A fashion show on the final day of camp will display your creations. This camp is perfect for new designers, or for returning students as the projects and designs have changed. All materials are included in the cost of the camp. YTH 673 30 complete short film. Using professional, broadcast- quality equipment, as well as individual flip cameras campers will conceptualize, produce, direct, and act in a light-hearted thriller. Over the course of a week, students will learn hands-on how a film is made from story to screen. In addition, a small amount of time will be spent viewing classic movies and discussing/critiquing. YTH 650 30 via daily adventurous road trips and experiences. This odyssey will entail surveying several forms of writing and producing a portfolio as a memento of your daily field trips and activities. Campers will gain a stronger grasp of grammar concepts, creative writing techniques, and essay format.
