MCC Law Center Local Consumer Program (LCP)

The MCC Law Center Local Consumer Program works in cooperation with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office to help resolve consumer complaints by telephone mediation. We provide services to consumers and businesses in the following towns: Ashby, Auburndale, Ayer, Billerica, Bolton, Boxborough, Burlington, Chelmsford, Devens, Dracut, Dunstable, Fitchburg, Groton, Harvard, Lancaster, Leominster, Littleton, Lowell, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Shirley, Tewksbury, Townsend, Tyngsborough, Westford, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn.

Complaints typically involve automobile repairs and sales, home improvement, debt collection and credit problems, shopping rights, and landlord/tenant disputes.

All complaints are computerized centrally at the Office of the Attorney General which allows the Attorney General to be alerted to possible trends of unfair or deceptive business practices.

The MCC Law Center Local Consumer Program also serves as a source for general consumer information and referral.
