TRIO: Program for Student Achievement

The TRIO: Program for Student Achievement serves 100 eligible students with documented disabilities, in close collaboration with the Disability Support Services Office. Students receive academic and financial aid advising, career and transfer counseling, and individualized tutoring. The program sponsors a variety of informational and educational workshops.  State of the art assistive technology is also available. Students may access services on both campuses.

 

Our services include:

  • Academic Advising Assist students with course selection and academic planning
  • Career Planning and Assessment Assist students with career decision-making, resume building and interview skills 
  • Tutoring We offer tutoring in math and English
  • Study skills and learning strategies Support Guidance around study skills, time management, essay writing, and research projects and papers is offered in group and individual workshops
  • Financial Aid Assistance and Financial Advising Assistance with the financial aid process and managing college finances
  • Personal Advising
  • Transfer Assistance and College Information We meet with students to plan for transferring to four-year colleges
