If the award requires a letter recommendation, how do I request this?
Please ask a current or past MCC faculty member or advisor to write a recommendation
on your behalf. (We do not accept references from family members or classmates). Pay attention to scholarship deadlines, and be sure to give the person writing your
recommendation plenty of time to complete it. Be aware that some faculty and staff may be approached by more than one student to
write this type of recommendation. It is important to be respectful and appreciative
of your reference’s time. You will enter the name and email address of the person
writing your recommendation into your application. The faculty or staff member will
receive an email with a link to upload the recommendation directly to your application.
It is the applicant's responsibility to follow up with the faculty recommender to
confirm the recommendation has been uploaded to the applicant's file.
Can I apply for a scholarship every year?
Yes. Receiving a scholarship does not prevent you from applying again the next year.
