Mini Grant Application Process

Through the generosity of alumni donors, MCC employees, and community partners, the MCC Foundation Middlesex Fund is able to support mini-grants for faculty and staff initiatives that directly benefit our students.

Application Guidelines for Mini Grants for the 2021-2022 Academic Year:
  • All MCC faculty and staff are eligible to submit an application.
  • Grant application requests should generally not exceed $5000.
  • Grants will be made for a maximum project length of one year. 
    • Funds should be spent in the 2021-22 Academic Year.
  • A detailed budget must be included as part of the application. 
  • All applications must be approved by the applicant’s department chair and/or the division Dean or Vice President prior to submittal.
  • Should a grant be made, the grant submitter is responsible for processing invoices and JAFS for the project under guidelines provided with the grant award.

Please use the Google form to submit your application and make sure to upload your budget spreadsheet to the form before you submit.

Overview of Application Questions:

  • Please enter your name and email.
  • Please enter your title and department or division.
  • Please enter a title for your project.
  •  Please explain the need or problem the project is intended to address.
    • Identify the specific project outcomes & how you intend to assess the results/impact of your project. 
  • Is this a single person project or does it entail a collaboration? If more than one person, please list their names.
  • Please complete and upload the budget request form.
  • All projects must be approved by your Dean/Department Head or Vice President. 
    • Please enter the name and email of the approver of your proposal.  
  • Please read and agree to the terms of the grant application process:
    • Should a grant be made, the submitter is responsible for processing invoices and JAFS for the project under guidelines provided with the grant award. 
    • Grant awards should be spent in the academic year 2021-22.
