Paralegal Studies Works for You!
Paralegals work in law firms, social service and government agencies,
banks, health care organizations, large corporations and other businesses
where lawyers need assistance.
We offer three ways to complete your degree:
Associate Degrees:
A balance of general education courses with a concentration in Paralegal
and Legality Specialty courses.
ˇ Liberal Studies, Paralegal Studies Career Option:
This degree allows graduates to enter the job market directly or continue
their studies toward a bachelor's degree.
ˇ Liberal Studies, Paralegal Studies Transfer Option:
This program qualifies for MassTransfer, which guarantees credit transfer
to Massachusetts state colleges and the University of Massachusetts.
Certificate Program:
ˇ Paralegal Certificate: The certificate program focuses on legal courses
and is designed for someone who has already earned an associate degree
or bachelor's degree and is interested in changing careers.
Three scholarships in amounts up to $2,000 are available from the
Muriel G. Hervey Memorial Scholarship fund.

With lectures from experts, readings, group discussions, hands-on
workshops, and optional civic engagement opportunities, students will
explore the intersections of cultures and communities in Latin America
today, an experience that will enhance our capacity to participate in a
diverse, globally-interconnected world. There will also be a guided
museum visit. Friday dinner and Saturday lunch included.
This one credit course can fulfill a humanities, science, or social
science requirement or count as a free elective toward graduation or
full-time status.
Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENG 101 and MAT 080 or completion
of Math Ramp-UP Modules 1-8 or by permission of instructor
