Institutional Research and Analytics
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics is to provide timely,
accurate, and unbiased information and analysis to assist evidence-based decision
making at Middlesex Community College.
Goals and Practices:
Internal Reporting -- Compile data and conduct research to meet the needs requested by various campus
constituencies.
External Reporting -- Serve as the official source of data reported to the Department of Higher Education
and other governmental and fiscal entities, thereby supporting statewide and national
success agendas.
Data Warehousing and Analytics -- Oversee the reliability and integrity of the data warehouse, create dashboards
and provide additional analytic tools.
Assessment -- Assist in the collection, review, and dissemination of information used to evaluate
educational programs in order to enhance student learning and success.
Survey Research -- Assist in the design, administration, and analysis of surveys.
Data Literacy and Training -- Provide outreach to campus groups to ensure that Office of Institutional Research
and Analytics data is understood and used effectively.
MCC's Office of Institutional Research and Analytics adheres to the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice of the Association for Institutional Research.
