Welcome to the Disability Support Services Department, your connection to information regarding programs and services for students with disabilities.

Disability Support Services
The collegiate experience at Middlesex, on the campus and in the classroom, is open to students of varying abilities and levels of adaptive skills. Supportive faculty and staff, as well as fellow students, encourage all students to participate in extracurricular and class activities. The DSS office provides services and resources to empower each student to attain his/her highest level of academic success and learning independence.

The Transition Program
The Transition Program, designed expressly for students with significant learning disabilities, is also part of the Disability Support Services Department. This two-year certificate program teaches consumer and business skills, independent living, and personal and social development. The cornerstone of the program is an internship each semester in local business settings. It is a particularly successful educational experience for students who would have difficulty meeting the academic/cognitive demands of standard college course work.

Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (ICEI) Program

The ICEI Program at Middlesex is a dual enrollment opportunity for high school students with intellectual disabilities, ages 18-21, who are enrolled in a participating school district. Participating school districts are Bedford Public Schools and the LABBB Collaborative.
