MCC
Early Childhood Education
Certificate and Degree
for students interested in working
with young children. Our programs emphasize developmentally
appropriate practices and have a child centered focus. Students learn
and apply theory with hands-on experience in a required practicum,
which may be in early care and education programs for children.
Early Childhood Transfer/
Elementary Education Transfer degree
programs
for students who want to transfer into a bachelor's
degree program leading to teacher licensure. Students work with an
academic advisor to create an individualized program in anticipation
of selecting a major at the transfer institution
(qualifies for MassTransfer).
Addictions Counselor Program (ACP)
A
9 course program offered on the BEDFORD CAMPUS
with classes on TUESDAY and THURSDAY
evenings.
This program meets the
educational requirements for the
state LADC II and the CADC
certification for addictions
treatment counseling.
Program graduates have readily
found employment as addiction
treatment counselors, intake
clinicians, and residential
case managers.
All academic courses in this program transfer to
the MCC Human Services degree and to all
Massachusetts State Colleges and Universities.
