Music Independent Studies

Private (studio) lessons each week. The student must practice 1 -2 hours on the assigned exercises and repertoire each day, perform in the student recital, and play a final jury (exam) for members of the music faculty. The independent study can be offered only to a full-time student in good standing (minimum 2.00 GPA) after at least one semester at the college. A maximum of six semester hours can be taken under this arrangement. Independent studies are recommended for students planning to take a performance audition in order to transfer to a university music school or conservatory.
