Summer 2020 Withdrawal/Refund Policy

When a student drops or withdraws from a course, processing, instructional and other costs must still be met by the college. Therefore, refunds for official withdrawals from credit courses are adjusted as follows:

For Example: Students who withdraw during the 50% refund period will be assessed:
3 credit course at $252 per credit equals $756; 50% refund is $378

Refund Policy for Summer Sessions:

  • Summer Session I (May 26 – June 25)
    • On or Before May 27 – 100% Adjustment/Refund
    • May 28 – June 1 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
    • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER JUNE 1
  • Summer Session II (May 26 – July 22)
    • On or Before May 28 – 100% Adjustment/Refund
    • May 29 – June 3 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
    • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER JUNE 3
  • Summer Session III (July 7 – August 6)
    • On or Before July 8 – 100% Adjustment/Refund
    • July 9 – July 13 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
    • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER JULY 13
Health 1 (AHP, NUR) (May 26 - August 1)
  • On or Before May 29 – 100% Adjustment/Refund
  • May 30 – June 4 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
  • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER JUNE 4
Health 2 (RAD, SON) (June 1 – August 29)
  • On or Before June 7 – 100% Adjustment/Refund
  • June 8 – June 14 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
  • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER JUNE 14
Summer Quick Start (May 26 – June 12)
  • On or Before May 26–100% Adjustment/Refund
  • May 27 – 50% Adjustment/Refund
  • NO ADJUSTMENT/REFUND AFTER MAY 27

Students who withdraw from all of their classes during the 100% refund period will be assessed a non-waivable $25 administrative fee.

Important: To be eligible for a refund, students MUST officially withdraw from their class/classes by notifying the College in writing, in person, online, or by calling 1-800-818-3434. Official course withdrawal forms are available on each campus at The Student Information Center. Lack of attendance, course abandonment, etc., does not constitute course withdrawal. Students receiving Federal Title IV aid and who have officially withdrawn from the college may be entitled to a refund of tuition and fees in accordance with the federally mandated schedule.
