Get ready for a week of laughs! This program will explore the fundamentals of improvisation by developing support, trust, risk taking, and confidence with each young actor. This means developing not only a quick-wit but some physical comedy as well. Everyone will participate in many exciting and fun theater games, movement exercises, and ensemble-building activities that will culminating live improvised performance. Learning improv is a valuable skill both on and off the stage. Real life is improvised after all.

Tap into your creative side! Learn cake and cupcake decorating tips in this exciting class! Each day you will go home with new techniques and ideas for all types of special occasions or just everyday fun! Due to the nature of this program, we are not able to accommodate students with food allergies. Each family is responsible for a $35 supply fee payable directly to the instructor on August 12th. (Cash or Check only).

Through a blend of fun activities and new scientific research, youth will learn how their brain impacts their behavior. Topics will include sensation and perception, with an emphasis on vision, color, light and optical illusions. Youth will also make connections to their own learning styles through understanding memory mechanics in the brain, as well stress-coping mechanisms.

From pavement to paper, we will approach the writing process via daily adventures and experiences. This odyssey will entail surveying several forms of writing and producing a portfolio as a memento of your daily activities. Students will gain a stronger grasp of grammar concepts, creative writing techniques, and essay format. Confident and emerging writers with a sense of adventure and a love of learning new things are encouraged to attend. All activities included in the cost.

Come explore the world with us! We will use Google Maps, and Google Earth and other free mapping tools to virtually explore the world. Volcanoes, Shipwrecks, Sharks, and Whales will all be found as we explore the Earth and under the sea! Dive into a glass bubble on the other side of the planet, and have a look around. Go to a world-famous museum from your desk chair. We will even go into space via Google Moon, Mars, Sky, and the NASA website. We will learn about Skyscrapers and then further learn about Geography through a Breakout EDU game (which simulates an Escape Room brain puzzle activity). All participants must have a Google/Gmail account set up prior to starting as they will need to have their log in information available during the program.

Learning how to build simple games helps children with problem solving, design and logic. Using free software that your child can then use at home, we will explore various sites designed to introduce kids to the world of coding. Kids can earn badges for trying different skills and apps. All participants leave with a list of apps and websites they can use at home.

Do you want to know what it takes to build a city with essential infrastructure? This program will teach what is required to run a town or city, what services the city provides, and how certain services are strategically placed within the city through zoning. We will discuss Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Governmental zones. We will also discuss the differences between planned and unplanned cities. Some essential services include, city/town hall, police, fire, public works, schools, parks, and homes, commercial and industrial businesses.

If you have taken Introduction to Veterinary Science or have volunteered in local animal clinics or facilities, this is for you. This advanced program is designed to immerse the animal enthusiast with a serious interest in veterinary science to the world of veterinary medicine through the utilization of case studies. You will build your knowledge through interactions with local professionals, laboratory experiments, field trips and more.
