In this course, participants will learn how to tell it like it is and be heard. Techniques will be introduced for overcoming common fears about public speaking, including dealing with difficult interviewers and audiences including small claims court and arbitration. Learn how to use the voice, gestures, the message and method of development for maximum effectiveness. Participants will assess and develop presentation skills by making at least one presentation.
Additionally, participants will learn how to prepare and produce the elements (PowerPoint, handouts, speakers notes, outlines) for effective and powerful presentations. Course is taught through hands-on demonstrations and exercises. Outcomes: Participants will learn how to create and edit presentations, learn PowerPoint drawing tools, how to make presentations interactive by incorporating clip-art and animation.
