Icon3) Determine your Course Placement

  • You can now place directly into courses based on multiple measures (i.e., GPA, SAT, ACT, HiSet, GED) or guided self-placement. Review your Placement Options. For questions, call 1-800-818-3434.
  • If you have graduated from high school within the last three years and can provide a transcript documenting a minimum overall 2.7 GPA, you are exempt from English and math placement testing. A score of 500 or higher on the evidence-based Reading and Writing section of the SAT may be used to waive the English portion of the test.
  • If you are transferring credits in English or math from another college or have taken the MCC Placement testing at an earlier date, you may qualify for an exemption from all or part of the test.

Icon4) Take Control of Your Finances

  • Complete your FAFSA Financial Aid application. Financial aid can help you pay for the costs of attending MCC, such as tuition and fees, as well as books, living expenses, transportation, and personal expenses. Many MCC students receive some sort of financial aid. Aid can come in many forms including:
  • Make arrangements to pay your tuition and fees. Learn about the College's payment options, sign up for a payment plan, and connect with MCC's financial wellness specialists.   • Take care of your health insurance. If you register for nine or more credits, you will be charged for health insurance at Middlesex. This fee may be waived if you are covered under another health insurance plan. If you are covered under your parents' health insurance, be sure to check their student enrollment coverage.
