This fall, the first steps toward mapping out a comprehensive Strategic Plan began, with faculty, staff, students, alumni and community listening sessions. The input received will help us to better understand the needs and expectations of our many audiences as we build the road map to our future. Among the many honors bestowed on Middlesex this year, we are especially proud of our new designation as a “Military Friendly School.” We continually work to improve resources available to our student veterans and connect with the VA Hospital near our Bedford campus. Other college honors include gold-level endorsements for both our Biotechnology Technician degree and certificate programs by the Massachusetts Life Science Education Consortium – one of only two such designations given to community college programs in Massachusetts. And the beat goes on… as we prepare to co-host the prestigious National Asian Studies Development Conference in Boston, host One World Series speakers, dedicate our Lowell Campus Library, prepare for our Spring Fling, host our first Bike Challenge and enjoy a fun-filled night at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium with BeatleJuice - a Beatles cover band. I also invite you to join us for our Celebrity Forum, a spectacular evening and annual MCC Foundation fundraiser, featuring ABC’s Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts. For me, the real highlight of each year is always our Commencement ceremony, when we celebrate and honor student success, and watch as our graduates turn the page to the next exciting chapter of life.
