PREREQUISTES · Windows XP Professional (with latest patches) · Wireless 802.11a, b, or g · Wireless Access – Hotspot Initial Setup procedure has been run OVERVIEW For unsecure, unencrypted access to the Internet PRE-CHECKS 1. Network cables/cards disconnected 2. Laptop is booted 3. Wireless card inserted.

WIRELESS LOGIN Assumes MCC_HOTSPOT is on Preferred networks list from Initial Setup procedure. Wait up to 1 minute for connection to a wireless access point using MCC_HOTSPOT to be automatically established. 1. Place mouse over Wireless Network icon on system tray If connection to MCC_HOTSPOT indicated by text of icon tag then continue to next step 2. Open browser 3. If Security Alert appears, click Yes MCC login network page displays. 4. Enter HotSpot Login ID (username/pw) [guest/guest] 5. Click Log In or press Enter key Blue socket message and your homepage display. 6. Minimize bluesocket box (do NOT close!) You are successfully logged in!

END WIRELESS SESSION 1. Maximize bluesocket box 2. Click Click to Logout Wireless Session is terminated.
