Classroom Emergency App

MCC is pleased to offer a Classroom Emergency Mobile App for faculty to report technology related classroom issues. The app will allow faculty to quickly send an alert to all on-site /on-call technicians that technical help is needed in the classroom. 

A classroom emergency is defined as a technology problem in the classroom experienced by a faculty member on campus at the start of or during class time which prevents the faculty member from continuing with their class. Some examples might be: 

• Classroom projector is not working
• Classroom computer\monitor is not working
• Cables are missing
• Classroom network Issue

The Classroom Emergency App should ONLY be used for technology issues in an MCC classroom, not for any other kind of emergency. 

The Classroom Emergency App is available for Android via the Google Play Store, as well as iOS via the Apple App Store

How to Use the Classroom Emergency App

Note: After submitting a technology emergency ticket, it will appear in the My Tickets area in the app as "Open". Once a technician receives the ticket the status will change to "Accepted". When the technician resolves the ticket, the status will change to "Resolved.  Mark your classroom(s) as a favorite for a faster experience. 

  1. After installing the app on your mobile device, use your MCC login credentials to sign into the app.

  2. Click on the large, red Classroom Emergency button on the main screen to submit an alert.

  3. On the next screen select the best category related to your issue, for example Laptop/Desktop, Projector Problem, Network Issue. Tap Next to continue.

  4. Choose a sub-category from the predefined list, such as No Power, Image is cut off, then tap Next to continue.

  5. You may be presented with some self-help steps which may assist you to resolve the problem yourself; Tap Yes to skip self-help and continue.

  6. Select the classroom you are in from the list and type any additional informaton about the issue in the description field. Tap the Raise a Ticket button to submit your alert.

Additional Information

Favorite Classrooms: Mark the classrooms you are teaching in as favorites to make submitting technology emergency tickets faster for you.

  1. Tap the "hamburger" menu in the top left corner of the on the main screen of the app. 
  2. Tap My Classroom and tap the heart icon next to each of the classroom(s) you are teaching in.

Also, tap the  "hamburger" menu to view your profile and any emergency tickets you have submitted.
