Middlesex Community College may accept transfer credit from select semester-long study abroad programs, based on MCC's academic transfer requirements. Learn more about transferring academic credits from other institutions at MCC's Transferring In website. Students must meet with MCC Academic Advising before enrolling in a credit-bearing study abroad program to obtain transfer credit approval.

Semester Abroad Opportunities Around the World
- CIEE is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, and a world leader in international education and exchange. For more than 65 years CIEE has offered comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs across the globe. They have full semester study abroad and internship programs.
- Critical Language Scholarship is a summer study abroad program run by the U.S. Department of State with a focus on learning languages the government believes are 'critical' to U.S. national security and economic prosperity. You can spend 8-10 weeks abroad intensively studying one of the possible 14 languages as well as the culture of the people. (Some of the languages require at least 1-2 years of previous study.)
- Semester at Sea is a cruise-based study abroad program run since 1963 by the Institute for Shipboard Education - a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. The program and organization are currently sponsored by Colorado State University. Classes are taught on abroad the ship MV World Odyssey and stop at ports all over the world for hands-on cross cultural experiences.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial aid may be available and there are scholarships from MCC, the U.S. State
