Creating a Welcoming, Productive, and Civil Learning and Working Environment
Facilitator: Lynn Gregory, Personal Counselor

This workshop is designed to provide student employees with tools and strategies for handling a variety of challenging situations that may arise in the course of their work on campus. Participants will spend time working in groups reviewing and discussing “real-life” student behavior scenarios, including ethical dilemmas, how to negotiate the role of being both a student and employee, and dealing with inappropriate student behavior. Information will be provided about student support services, college policies and protocols regarding student behavior, and campus safety.

If supervisors plan to require students who work in their area to attend this workshop, contact Lynn Gregory to discuss appropriate scenarios addressing the needs of your area. This workshop is designed to address the needs of each department represented.
