Athletics
Due to covid-19, all Athletics are cancelled for Spring 2021.
Mission
The MCC Athletics Program supports learning and student success, encourages a lifetime
appreciation for physical fitness and personal health/wellness, fosters human connection,
and increases a sense of institutional belonging by offering access to fitness facilities,
fitness classes, sports teams, workshops and presentations, and recreational courses
and events.
Learning Outcomes
As a result of active engagement with Athletics Programming, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate positive leadership skills that contribute to the organizational effectiveness of their respective club sport
- Exhibit a constructive team climate (e.g. treats team members respectfully, uses positive tone, motivates others, informs ideas, engages and uses strategies to facilitate contributions)
UMass Lowell Recreation Center Partnership

Eligibility
All currently enrolled MCC students in good academic (2.0 GPA) and behavioral standing are eligible to participate regardless of their demographics. MCC faculty and staff may participate if they do not displace an eligible student.
