Activity 5. Increase the use of technology-enabled learning strategies
Simulation Technology and Open Education Resources
As the Engineering Technology – Precision Manufacturing Certificate is developed, faculty will be identifying simulation options to support instruction. In addition, two MCC faculty – Assistant Professor of Biotechnology Patricia Richard and Associate Professor of Information Technology Syeda Ferdous Begum -- completed research in summer 2016 on Open Education Resources (OER), some of which include simulation technology. Reports on their research will be shared both with MCC faculty and faculty from other community colleges who are serving on the statewide DOL Academic Program teams.
