The Effect of Collaborative Intervention Techniques on Course Completion Rates in Algebra

Data from 1999 until 2002 is used to compare course completion rates in two Algebra classes:  one class is taught by an instructor using a lecture format; the other involves different intervention techniques including the participation of a learning disabilities specialist.  The results are surprising for reasons that are not evident at first glance. This project was presented at AMATYC in November 2003 and at the Middlesex Summer Institute in 2005 and 2006.
