Services Provided

The Resource Development Office provides the following services:

  • Researches grant funding opportunities;

  • Provides assistance designing projects and evaluations, developing budgets; forming internal or external partnerships; and implementing funded initiative;

  • Facilitates planning sessions with individuals or teams to respond to funding priorities or opportunities;

  • Assists in the development of funding applications and/or writes and edits letters of intent, proposals, evaluations and reports; 

  • Initiates or supports outreach to external partners to maximize grant opportunities requiring collaboration; also serves as a liaison to internal and external partners as necessary for the duration of the grant or for other purpose;

  • Develops or assists with the development of sub-contracts and/or MOU’s with external grant partners;

  • Maintains files on all grant applications and responses electronically and/or in hard copy;

  • Maintains accurate records of current grant resources;

  • Researches emerging trends and evidence-based practices in higher education to improve quality of grant applications;

  • Meets with regularly with departmental staff, Deans and external partners to foster awareness of community and College needs and resources; and

  • Coordinates with the MCC Foundation on grant applications requiring 501(c)(3) status.
