Communication Transfer

Associate in Science Communication Transfer

Bedford Campus and Lowell Campus - Day and Evening

Program Description:

Students in the A.S. Communication (Transfer) program develop their creative, analytical, and technical skills through the practical application of media production tools and the study of communication history, theory, and ethics. They may take courses in video/audio production, film production, photography, screenwriting, journalism, media writing, public relations, social media, communication theory, and media ethics.

Through our internship program, students will also work on real-world projects and build a portfolio of their work, which can be used to showcase their skills to transfer schools.

Career and Transfer Outlook:

The Communication Associate of Science Degree prepares students to transfer into a wide range of bachelor’s degree programs in communication, including media production, film, television & radio, public relations, journalism, social media, communication arts, and media studies.

This program qualifies for MassTransfer, which guarantees credit transfer to Massachusetts state universities and the University of Massachusetts. Academic advisors and transfer counselors work closely with students to plan course selections in accordance with their intended bachelor’s degree major and transfer institution.

Communication majors can pursue careers in various communication fields, such as television/film production, radio, public relations, journalism, social media, corporate communications, and media production.
