The next President of Middlesex Community College will have the enviable opportunity to build on the outstanding past record of the College and its leadership, including that of Dr. Carole Cowan, the outgoing president, who has held the position for 24 years.
The Board of Trustees and the community understand the strategic role that the College must play to provide opportunities to local residents in order for them to obtain the knowledge and skills to succeed in a 21st century economy.
The Board seeks a leader who sees Middlesex as a destination, not a "stepping stone," and who is prepared to make a significant contribution to the College and lead the College to the next level of achievement and recognition.
The next President will lead an outstanding and vibrant academic community and commit his/her creative energy and leadership skills to further develop the collaborative and cooperative ventures within a multi-campus environment, the Massachusetts public higher education system, and throughout the surrounding communities, the country and internationally.
Middlesex Community College's fourth president must be a visionary leader with exceptional character and substantial experience in community college leadership.
