About Middlesex

For 50 years, the mission of Middlesex Community College (MCC) has been devoted to student success. MCC supports a diverse population of students – including over 26,000 alumni – who come to the college seeking opportunity. In 2020, MCC has developed three strategic directions for the college's future.

The college as a whole is working to:
• Build a culture of equity mindedness and inclusive excellence
• Strengthen guided pathways for student opportunity and growth
• Leverage the power of community college to transform our collective future

One of the largest, most comprehensive community colleges in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, MCC consists of faculty, staff and administrators dedicated to guiding students on their paths to success – in the classroom and on campus, outside of class, in the community, and beyond. MCC strives to help students discover a love of lifelong learning, hone relevant knowledge and skills, and build a solid foundation that will prepare them for a four-year college or university, the workforce, and in all of their professional and personal endeavors.

A leader of online learning for over 20 years, when the pandemic struck in the Spring 2020 semester, MCC worked together to transition coursework and student services to online formats. Now 90 percent online for the foreseeable future, MCC has continued to develop interactive and effective online learning platforms and services for students to remain engaged with the community.

With a focus on creating a nurturing, equitable and accessible environment for all students, MCC offers a dynamic of talent, dedication and hard work that is woven into the college's fabric. At Middlesex – everyone teaches, everyone learns.
