Message of Thanksgiving

Campus in Fall

Dear faculty, staff, students and friends,

Even in times of uncertainty and transition, Thanksgiving is a time to realize that we have much to be thankful for. Is it any wonder many of us consider Thanksgiving our favorite national holiday? It’s an entire day focused on sharing and considering the freedoms we enjoy.

I feel very fortunate to be president of a college that is truly dedicated to helping students – of all ages and from all walks of life – discover how smart, talented and capable they are. I am proud of our commitment to diversity and equity. We, as a campus community, value equality of access and opportunity, and foster a deep appreciation of our diverse communities.

Community colleges are built on the twin pillars of access and success. I believe now more than ever, we need to do everything in our power to promote a system of higher education that is open to all, and to build pathways to success for everyone who walks through our doors.

At Middlesex, we have assembled a tremendous team of outstanding professionals focused on student success. We are also fortunate to be surrounded by a community that believes in our mission and supports us in countless ways.

I wish each of you a holiday filled with family, friends and good food.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jim Mabry
