Living the Dream
Five short years ago, the Living the Dream Partnership was established to continue
the legacy of Lura Smith and family, to honor Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his
mission of equality and justice. As this is the 25th year celebrating this event, now, more than ever, we are “Called to Action” to recognize, celebrate and continue the life and legacy of Rev. King.
The Living the Dream Partners – comprised of community leaders from across the city of Lowell — is committed to “Living the Dream.” On Monday, January 16, 2023, the partners invite you to come together to join them in a celebration of Rev. King’s legacy. This special community event will be held at the Middlesex Community College (MCC) Richard and Nancy L Donahue Family Academic Arts Center in downtown Lowell from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
This year’s event, “Why We Can't Wait”, will incorporate a day of service across the city, along with a celebration of the arts and civic engagment as community connectors. We're excited that many of these activities will be led by youth from throughout the area.
