Living the Dream

Four short years ago, the Living the Dream Partnership was established to continue the legacy of Lura Smith and family, to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his mission of equality and justice.  As this is the 24th year celebrating this event, now, more than ever, we are “Called to Action” to recognize, celebrate and continue the life and legacy of Dr. King.

The Living the Dream Partners – comprised of community leaders from across the city of Lowell — is committed to “Living the Dream.” On Monday, January 17, 2022, the partners invite you to come together to join them in a celebration of Dr. King’s legacy. This special community event will be held virtually beginning at 1:00 p.m.

This year’s event, “Living the Dream – A Call to Action” highlights the importance of racial equity and inclusion across the Greater Lowell community, and will feature celebration through music, song, dance and visual arts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about other events and volunteer needs in the Greater Lowell area.
