Elementary Education Associate and Transfer Degree
Whether you're looking to begin or advance your career—MCC is a great place to begin your future.
The Elementary Education Transfer Concentration Associate in Arts, Liberal Arts and Sciences degree program is designed to prepare students to transfer into a bachelor's degree program leading to Elementary or Secondary Teacher Licensure.
This program is best suited for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in kindergarten through high school education. Graduates of the program transfer to a four-year institution and continue their studies toward bachelor's and master's degrees. Students work with an academic planning advisor to create an individualized program in anticipation of selecting a major at the transfer institution. Service-Learning placements in area schools provide practical experiences for future teachers, and support and enhance the teacher-preparation curriculum.
This program qualifies for MassTransfer, which guarantees credit transfer to Massachusetts state universities and the University
of Massachusetts. Academic advisors and transfer counselors work closely with students
to plan course selections in accordance with their intended bachelor’s degree major
and transfer institution.
Students should check the requirements for transfer with their academic advisor.
Courses are delivered through a variety of modalities including weekend schedules, hybrid, online, and traditional face-to-face options, and students may be eligible for financial assistance through financial aid, scholarships and/or grant funding.
