Creating a community of science at MCC



The Urban Massachusetts Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation(UMLSAMP) in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is a National Science Foundation grant that partners Middlesex Community College with the University of Massachusetts Lowell and the University of Massachusetts Boston. This project provides Middlesex students majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) with mentors, field trips to research and STEM related businesses, individual advising including transfer to bachelor degrees, summer enrichment opportunities, academic support through tutoring and study groups.

  5. US Dept of Transportation Summer Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG). Application Deadline: Selections will be made as applications are received, so please apply early! To apply online, visit https://secure.twc.edu/twc/default.jsp. This link will take you to the application via the USDOT contractor: The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. You must first create a new profile on the web site to begin the application process. Proceed by selecting STIPDG from the first drop down menu, and follow all instructions to complete the application process. U.S. Citizenship is required for eligibility.
