Please continue to take care of yourselves!
MCC Surveillance Testing
Middlesex Community College is collaborating with UMass Lowell to provide asymptomatic testing for COVID-19 to students, faculty and staff within the MCC Community. This asymptomatic testing is available at no cost, for up to 25 members of the MCC community. The tests are available from 2-4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This program designed to mitigate community spread through early detection of infection. Priority for the testing program includes asymptomatic testing for students, faculty and staff that are coming to campus for face-to-face classes, work, research, or other activities that may increase opportunity for exposure.
Schedule your test for the following week by sending an email before 5 p.m. on Thursdays that includes your full name and preferred cellular phone from your MCC email address to the Emergency Management Team (EMT) EmergencyManagement@middlesex.mass.edu. A representative from the EMT will follow up with you via email to confirm your appointment with all necessary details. You will also receive specific detailed instructions on accessing the testing site at UMass Lowell. In addition to your ID, please wear a face covering and observe hand hygiene during your visit. Social distancing is also required at all times while in the testing center.
Test results will be ready in 24-36 hours. Individuals who test negative will be notified via email from Careevolve@lknotification.com. You will need to log in to a secure portal to get your results.
Students who test positive will receive a call from the local Board of Health and a UMass Lowell Health Services nurse, who will explain further steps. Individuals who test positive will be required to isolate in accordance with the guidelines of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state public health authorities.
Faculty and staff who test positive will receive a call from their local Board of
Health and a Circle Health employee, who will explain further steps. Individuals who
test positive will be required to isolate in accordance with the guidelines of the
federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state public health authorities.
