Student Assessment and Intervention Team

The Student Assessment and Intervention Team (SAIT) is a multi-disciplinary group of professionals who meet on a regular basis to promote the safe and effective functioning of the campus community. The team proactively provides centralized, coordinated and supportive intervention for at-risk students.

The SAIT:

  • Assesses and addresses student behavior that is disruptive/threatening, showing evidence of emotional distress, or potentially harmful to self or others.
  • Mobilizes internal and external resources for students who are distressed, disruptive, in crisis, and/or who are dealing with economic challenges, including food and housing insecurity.
  • Provides ongoing consultation and training to faculty/staff/administrators regarding problematic student behavior.
  • Coordinates follow-up as needed.
