Meet the Staff



 

Jonathan Crockett

Jonathan Crockett, Coordinator of Athletics, Health & Wellness,  is a 1st generation college grad and a resident of Lowell.  He has worked in Student Affairs for 18 years, serving in residence life, student activities, fitness and recreation, and health & wellness.  He is passionate about personal wellness, and works to bring this passion into his interactions with students and employees at MCC.  He believes that each person’s success and quality of life can be greatly improved by taking care of personal wellness.  He also teaches a 1-credit wellness course at MCC.  In his spare time, he is a father of 2 children, a nature lover, a runner, a cyclist, a fisherman, and an avid “do-it-yourselfer”.

 

Carrie Fantasia

Carrie Fantasia is the Administrative Assistant at the Center for Health & Wellness and has been employed at MCC since 1999. Her office is located at the Lowell City Campus, Room G-04. She has a Medical Assistant and Residential Counselor background outside of the college.   She is a caring person, who shows sympathy, empathy, as well as takes pride in her job that shows her self -worth, and expresses dignity and compassion all in one. Carrie is very compassionate about Awareness of many different topics and events.  Carrie strongly believes the information drive is to raise Awareness and treatment that remains much to be accomplished.   In her personal life enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Carrie enjoys watching, attending and playing sports, music and dancing.


Chris Herrion

Chris Herrion is the new Intramural, Club Sports, and Fitness Assistant here at Middlesex Community College. He graduated from Nichols College in 2016 with a degree in Sport Management. Before coming to Middlesex, Chris has previously held an internship position with Boston College Athletics in the External Operations Department working on marketing, promotions, and fan engagement at all their athletic events. During the summer, he had an internship with the Copa America Centenario as a Logistics Assistant. In addition to working with MCC, Chris works with the New England Revolution as a Grassroots Marketing Representative. Chris is a big fan of sports, especially New England teams. He has played soccer, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse for many years.

 

Tiffany Laudano

Tiffany Laudano is the Wellness Educator for the Center for Health & Wellness, working to increase health/wellness education and awareness to the entire campus community.  Tiffany graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education and is currently completing a M.Ed. from Cambridge College.  Prior to her employment at MCC, Tiffany was a school health educator for 12 years.  She is passionate about health education, and strives to engage students through activity-based curriculum/programs. She recognizes the connection between student success and personal wellness, and is eager to help students recognize both the multiple dimensions and the transformative benefits of personal wellness. In addition to formal and informal wellness events and activities, Tiffany will be conducting classroom visits, interacting with students and employees, building community connections, and engaging the campus community on a variety of health/wellness topics.

 

Emily Norton

Emily has been at Middlesex Community College since 2012. Prior to that, she was the Athletic Director at Cristo Rey Boston High School and North Cambridge Catholic High School.  Today, Emily is the Coordinator of Sports and Recreation. Emily is a former college athlete, herself.  Emily was a member of Union College’s Women’s Basketball, Soccer and Track teams. Her love for sports and her desire to share her passion with students is what drives her work at MCC. Emily graduated from The Derryfield School, earned her B.A. in Philosophy at Union College and her Masters in Sports Leadership at Northeastern University. Emily lives north of Boston with her husband, two boys and their dog.

 

Ronald Pannell II

As the Administrative Assistant at the Center for Health & Wellness, Ronald Pannell, facilitates the services available at the Center for students, staff, and faculty. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Fayetteville State University, Ron enjoys a healthy political conversation from time to time. He hails from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He enjoys outdoor sports including hiking, running, soccer, basketball, and an occasional competitive whiffle ball game. Ron looks forward to helping you maximize the opportunities at the Center for Health and Wellness and enhancing your overall experience at Middlesex Community College.


Lucy Paynter

Lucy Paynter is a commonwealth corps member serving as a mental health wellness ambassador in Middlesex Community College where she is also a psychology major student. Her service involves creating awareness on mental health among students thus reducing the stigma that surrounds the issue.  She has a certificate in crisis counseling and advocacy for sexual assault survivors as well as community outreach educator certificate. She believes that emotional wellness contributes to success in every aspect of life. When not serving or studying she is a Mother of 3 and a pastor of a Kenyan community congregation.Her hobbies include; traveling, reading and singing.

 

Courtney Spence

Courtney Spence is a 19 year old Massachusetts native who is serving with the Commonwealth Corps during the ’16-’17 school year. She is a wellness ambassador who has a focus in nutrition.  Courtney is a self love advocate and a yoga teacher in training.  She is excited to connect with this community and support it in many ways.



Andrea (Gordon) Vaughn

My name is Andrea(Gordon)Vaughn, a transplant to Lowell from Brooklyn(NY) and Jamaica(WI).  I am a proud mom and a proud US Air Force Veteran who served during the Gulf War.  I am also a Middlesex Community College Alumni. I  have been with Middlesex working in several departments for about 12 plus years.  Being an alumni and an employee I have a very unique prospective on Middlesex and it's growth over the years-it is an awesome place to be.
