This course introduces and trains participants to the Java programming language. We will present the basic concepts of object oriented programming language, JAVA language fundamentals, graphical user interfaces and embedded applet programming. Students will learn how to write applet programs through a web page. Topics include Getting Started with JAVA; JAVA Fundamentals; Class Relationships; Program Flow; Exception Handling; IO; Graphical User Interfaces; More Swing; Event Handlers;  Porting JAVA Apps to the Web.

JavaScript
This introductory course is designed for the student who has mastered XHTML and would like to add interactivity to his or her websites. Topics covered include basic JavaScript programming, creating interactive forms, using frames and cookies, working with graphics and multimedia. Students will incorporate various JavaScript programs into existing websites. Please bring a flash drive to class.  Prerequisite:  Proficiency with XHTML or HTML.  No required text. Cisco® CCNA® Certification Prep
This online course incorporates the objectives for the Cisco CCNA exam version 640-802, focusing on giving you the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small and medium branch office Enterprise network, including configuring several switches and routers, connecting to a WAN, and implanting network security. A student should be able to complete configuration and implementation of a small branch office network under supervision. Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll be prepared to sit for the Cisco 640-802 certification exam. This program contains online tutorials, practice questions, online labs (using real, not simulated, Cisco equipment), and a mentor to answer any questions you may have pertaining to the curriculum and program completion. In this program, you'll learn the fundamentals you need to obtain a CompTIA™ Network+ certification. In this ONLINE course, you'll master the Linux desktop system, which can perform all of the functions you currently do with Microsoft Windows or Macintosh. We’ll start with the basics of Linux as we practice using its graphical environment to manipulate files and folders, create user accounts, and set up hardware devices. Then we’ll delve into the many free programs, including the popular OpenOffice.org office productivity software. Learn Linux multimedia programs that can play, rip, and burn CDs, as well as play DVDs and video files. We’ll also discuss Linux audio-editing tools that enable you to create your own masterpieces.
