Internships

Internships are an opportunity for students to gain real-world work experience while enrolled in a degree program. Internships offer a glimpse of what it’s like to work in a particular field without committing to a permanent position. Students have the opportunity to network, hone skills and determine if this is a career path they wish to pursue.

There are various types of internships including the duration of the experience, paid or unpaid, required for the degree program or optional. See the guide books for more detailed information.

The internship search should begin 3-6 months before the start date. Students will need to prepare a resume, cover letter and research opportunities that meet a specific criteria.

Resources are available for students, faculty and employers.
