Periodically, ALC students attend classes in an MCC computer classroom to work with Microsoft Office 2010 software. Emphasis is placed on developing word processing, web navigating and searching, as well as spreadsheet skills.
ALC students may use the Adult Learning Center computer lab before and after classes. They are encouraged to send and receive email, go on the Internet, take advantage of computer-assisted instruction, and take part in ongoing Microsoft Office workshops. Software available to them includes:
- GED 21st Century
- PLATO Pathways
- Read & Write Gold
- Typing Master Pro
- Teknimedia Computer Literacy Series
ALC students who would benefit take advantage of the Assistive Technology Center, which is shared by the Adult Learning Center and Disabilities Support Services.
