MCC Alumni Association
Board Meets
The MCC Alumni Association's first board
meeting was held Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Trustees'
House on the Bedford campus. Established under
the auspices of the MCC Foundation, the Alumni
Association will provide formal leadership and a
voice for Middlesex alumni, while also working
in close connection with the foundation. (See
The 23-member association board is comprised of alums from the first graduating Class of 1972
through the Class of 2016. Middlesex President James C. Mabry and MCC Foundation Chairman Jim
Henderson participated in the first meeting.
The board elected the following officers: President Gail Tuzzolo '75; Vice President Sheri Denk '90;
Secretary Diego Garcia '16; and Treasurer Scot Weisman 2008-14.

Maria Brogan '05; Miranda Cashman '14; Gregg Champney '98; Erin Gilchrist Young '13; Michael

All Middlesex graduates and transfer students are automatic members of the MCC Alumni
Association. The association's goal is to engage alums with the college and develop alumni

Alums Help Present MCC
Foundation NEAR Scholarship
Three proud Middlesex alums were among four
representatives from the Northeast Association of
Realtors (NEAR) participating in the March 1 MCC
Foundation Scholarship Awards Ceremony.
Alumnae Denise Olivares '01, Susan Callahan '05,
and Maria Brogan '05, joined Ric Beaudoin
to present the 2017 NEAR Scholarship to
student Zeel Patel.
NEAR provides an annual scholarship to an MCC
student who resides in a town in the association's
service area: Andover, Billerica, Boxford, Carlisle,
Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Lawrence, Littleton,
Lowell, Methuen, North Andover, Tewksbury,
Tyngsboro and Westford.

People Ready Supports New
MCCF Student Scholarship
Employment agency People Ready recently
presented $2,000 to the MCC Foundation to
support a new scholarship fund. Organized
through MCC's Health & STEM Pathways Center,
the People Ready Scholarship will provide
financial support to qualified Middlesex students.
