Class of 2014
We at MCC were very proud when we learned
that MCC alum
Rebekah Barrasso, a 2014 Dental
Assisting graduate, was the generous and kind
person who placed warm clothing, hats, and scarfs on
the trees in Boston Common during the winter for the
homeless. Thank you Rebekah for your kind act; MCC
alums continue to inspire!
------------------------
A special thank you
to the law enforcement
personnel and MCC alums who participated in the
large-scale training exercise to test the college's
ability to respond to critical incidents on campus.
This training event took place on the Bedford campus
on March 18, 2016 and simulated the worst-case
scenario of an active shooter causing a campus-
wide lockdown. MCC Alumni who contributed to the
success of the training were:
Patrick Towle '85
& MCC Distinguished Alumni '13, Bedford Police
Sgt. and a leader of the area's regional SWAT team;
Chief Robert Bongiorno '93, Chief of Police,
Bedford; and
Paul Krzeminski '88, Wilmington
Patrol Officer.

MCC Foundation Scholarship Awards
On March 1, the MCC Foundation awarded 48 scholarships totaling $47,450 in awards to 41 students.
During the event, a new scholarship the Positive Psychology Scholarship by Leilani Salon was presented for the first
time. This award was generously established by alumnae Dawn Stickney '11 and Tayla Mayo '14, and is intended to sup-
port a student enrolled in the "Positive Psychology" course.
Dawn and Tayla were so inspired by taking the "Positive Psychology" class at MCC, they created the scholarship so that
other MCC students could benefit from the positive principles taught in the course.
Thank you Dawn and Tayla for your gift and commitment to supporting MCC students and future alumni. For more
information on MCC Foundation Scholarships, please visit: www.middlesex.mass.edu/foundation/scholarships/.
