Class of 1974
Karen Warren retired from Hasbro in
2010. She was recently named an Inaugural
National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI)
Fellow. NIRI is a professional association of
corporate and investor-relations consultants
with more than 3,300 members representing
more than 1,600 publically held companies.
Class of 1988
Carol E. Carson has been Executive
Director of the Connecticut Office of State
Ethics since 2007.
Valerie S. Forsyth graduated from UMass
Amherst and received a BBA in marketing.
She works for TRIO at York County
Community College, is married and has
a 19-year-old son.

Fall Open House Alumnae Panel A panel of
alumnae volunteered to speak at MCC's Fall Open
House in October, as part of a session encouraging
prospective adult students to pursue higher educa-
tion. Shown here: Gabby Davis '13, Michelle Le-
houillier '09, Linda Monroe '05, Joan Schwerin '90,
and Carol Zachor '90. All panelists were recipients
of the MCC Foundation's Verena Stair Scholarship,
which supports female students returning to college.
Middlesex counselor Marilyn Yeo '78 was moderator.
Thank you to Marilyn and the panelists who gracious-
ly shared their stories of being adult students and the
successes they have achieved since attending MCC.

Pat Morrow is a fulltime faculty member at
Northern Essex Community College and just
received the National Institute for Staff and
Organizational Development (NISOD)
Excellence Award.
Class of 2004
Andrea H. Gauntlett recently earned a
Master of Management degree from
Cambridge College Graduate School.
Class of 2012
Anna L. Swanson is working toward a
bachelor's degree at Suffolk University,
and has interned with Gov. Deval Patrick.

skills and the confidence I needed to get me

Commonwealth Honors Program Alumni Dinner
Lowell's Dara Sok, a Commonwealth Honors Program
(CHP) alum, and David Kalivas, CHP Director, gathered
recently with other Honors Program alumni, faculty and
staff at MCC's historic John Nesmith House in Lowell
for the first Commonwealth Honors Program Alumni
Dinner. During the event, Kalivas announced the inten-
tion to create a CHP Advisory Board and invited alumni

Class of 2013
Ryan M. Aubert was recently hired as a
paralegal at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and
is pursuing an MBA at Endicott College.
Ashley M. Murray is a certified nutrition
consultant, certified personal trainer, and
certified wellness coach.
Edson Novinyo is studying at Worcester
Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where he is
majoring in Aerospace Engineering, and
Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Edson was featured this fall in the
MCC Foundation's 2013-2014 Student
Success Brochure.
